Nate sotto il Re (Born in the time of the King)
Nate sotto il Re (Born in the time of the King) is an interdisciplinary research project by Dr. Valeria Federici that will combine oral history, archive-based research, an exhibition, and a book manuscript. It focuses on the lives of women born before WWII in a town in central Italy called Colle di Tora, in the province of Rieti, in the Latium region. By featuring the local micro-histories of these women, this research project is preoccupied with the relationship between their daily lives and the crucial historical changes that occurred in post-war Italy, marked by crucial reforms and their impact on women's emancipation in the country.
